I love trees, a lot! It was one of the first things I was taught how to draw ‘properly’! This one is specifically a sicklemore tree located in Mount Annan, on a roundabout. One dusk I drove past and loved the colours in the sky in contrast to it losing its leaves. I wanted to capture the sky colour and the symbolism around the regrowth. This tree represents growth. Even once the leaves have fallen, you feel like you have nothing left in you, this is where we discover our true growth. We start with regrowth - it may not be pretty but baby steps.
